1. Introduction
Welcome to KickstartSEO. We help UK businesses get visible and stay visible, from Google to AI search. We're SEO Fitness Specialists — and these terms explain how we work.
By using our services, you're agreeing to these terms. They're written in plain English, because jargon isn't our style. Fair, clear, and honest — just like our SEO.
We review these terms periodically and will notify you by email if we make any significant updates. Our core principle never changes: We deliver service. Sometimes free, sometimes at a fee. But service is our heartbeat.
2. Our Services (Your Website's Fitness Plan)
We provide SEO services across three tiers:
- Optimiser Essentials £49/month + VAT — DIY tools with our strategic guidance. You implement, we support. Includes access to the KickstartSEO Portal.
- Optimiser AI £129/month + VAT — Norman (our AI strategist) does the heavy lifting, you approve the changes. Our most popular tier.
- Optimiser Premium £299/month + VAT — Complete transformation. Michael and Norman handle everything. 3-month minimum commitment.
All services include access to the KickstartSEO Portal — your SEO command centre.
What You Can Expect From Us:
- Strategic SEO work guided by experience and data
- Reporting that shows what we've done and what it means
- Progress you can see in visibility, rankings, and technical health
What We Can’t Guarantee:
- Specific Google rankings or traffic figures
- Immunity from Google updates
- Results if your site or business has underlying issues you won’t fix
"Meaningful Progress" means:
- Keyword movement
- Content optimisation
- Technical fixes
- Visibility increases
If you don’t see meaningful progress after 3–6 months, talk to us. We'll review and adjust our strategy.
What We Don't Do:
- Promise overnight success
- Lock you in (Premium excepted)
- Use dodgy tactics
- Charge you if we genuinely can't help
- Hide fees or sneak in extras
- Use fake reviews
Eligibility: Services are for businesses only. You must be 16 or older.
3. Your Responsibilities
- Keep your KickstartSEO Portal logins safe
- Give us accurate info about your business
- Let us know if something looks wrong
- Pay your invoices on time
You Can’t:
- Share your access with outsiders
- Tamper with or copy our tools
- Use our platform for anything illegal
4. Support and Communication
- Optimiser Essentials: Our Facebook group is your go-to
- Optimiser AI and Optimiser Premium: Zoom calls scheduled in advance
- Email/Phone: Response based on urgency and workload
Working Hours: Mon–Fri, 7am–3pm UK time
Time Off: We take holidays. If the sun comes out, we might disappear early. We don’t pro-rate unless we underdeliver.
5. Billing and Payment
- Prices exclude VAT
- Billed monthly via direct debit
- First payment due 14 days after signup
- Invoices sent 7 days before charge date
- Billing date is fixed based on your initial payment due date
Late Payment:
- 10-day grace period before suspending service
- No late fees unless persistent
Price Changes: 30 days’ notice, cancel anytime before new pricing takes effect.
6. Legal Stuff We're Compliant With
- Consumer Rights Act 2015
- Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024
- Advertising Standards (ASA)
- Competition and Markets Authority (CMA)
- ICO marketing rules
- Google's Webmaster Guidelines
7. Service Availability
We do our best to keep things running. But tech fails sometimes. If it’s beyond our control, it’s not on us.
8. Software + Tools
We use reliable tools (including Norman) — but we didn’t build them. Our expertise is knowing how to use them effectively.
Your content stays yours. We just optimise it.
Our tools stay ours. You can’t copy or redistribute them.
9. Data Protection
We follow UK data laws. We don’t sell your data or abuse it. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
10. Cancelling Your Service
- All packages: Cancel anytime with 15 days' notice
- Give notice 15+ days before your next invoice to avoid being charged again
- If less than 15 days, the next billing cycle still applies
No drama. No guilt trips. Just service.
Real-World Scenarios (No Jargon, Just Straight Talk)
Can I become a client without a meeting?
No. We meet with you (usually on Zoom) before you subscribe — to ensure:
- It’s a good fit
- We can actually help
- You choose the right package
Can I pause my service during a slow season?
No. You're either a client or you're not. We don’t pause accounts. Cancel if needed, come back when ready.
What if my developer disappears?
If they break something we did, we’ll help where we can:
- Optimiser Essentials: We’ll explain what went wrong and guide your fix
- Optimiser AI/Premium: If we can fix it quickly, we will. If not, we’ll advise clearly
What if I want to come back?
If we parted on good terms — we’d love to have you back.
If not, we’ll decline politely. Life’s too short for poor fit.
11. When We Might Cancel You
- Unpaid invoices
- Breaking these terms
- Illegal activity
- Abusing our team
12. Liability Limits
We take responsibility for what we do. But we’re not liable for:
- Your decisions or developers
- Google updates or algorithm changes
- External forces (acts of God, etc.)
Max liability: What you paid us in the last 12 months.
13. Succession Planning
If Michael dies (unlikely), your account would transfer to our software partner for continuity.
